Celebrities Who Were Former Nurses

If you were fond of watching television, you must have seen Scrubs and Grey’s Anatomy.  With that you have fair idea on what scrub uniforms are and which celebrities have already donned it on TV.  Of course, you knew that Patrick Dempsey looked good in it and so are the other casts in this popular TV series.  This leads to some people to ask if there are famous celebrities who wore this uniform at one point in their lives.

Kate Gosselin was a nurse in delivery room in one of the hospitals in Pennsylvania.  Thus, she once wore one of the many brands of scrub uniforms before she became a big reality TV star.

Naomi Judd was a registered nurse before she became a noted country music performer.  She is also famous as the mother of Wynona and Ashley Judd.  She contracted from a needle injection Hepatitis C and had to retire from showbiz and focused as health advocate for this deadly disease.

Bonnie Hunt, before she became as funny as David Letterman, she was an oncology and emergency nurse at Northwestern Hospital.  She told in one of online nurse sites that as a little girl it was really her dream to become a nurse.

Julie Walters of Mama Mia fame was a nurse for eighteen months.  She shifted career path due to her passion with acting.  It was by coincidence probably that she had a boyfriend who was into theatre and she followed him and the rest is history.

Adrian Holmes was a former nurse at Vancouver General Hospital before he became a star.  Sorry for the nursing profession but he always wanted to be an actor.  And expect that he won’t go back as a nurse once his star dims in Hollywood.

These are just some of the famous celebrities and stars who once wore scrub uniforms before they became major stars on TV and in the movies.  This situation wherein nurses became celebrity requires some plea for nurses out there to please do not leave your job; we need more nurses.
